AJ Organica is an affiliate of YewSavin,
(USA) Inc., and a world class R&D
synthesis lab located in India providing
cost effective access to highly skilled
synthetic chemists, and laboratory,
for small molecule drug discovery.
AJ Organica currently has setup to
perform advanced research in organic
synthesis and purification experiments
from 1 ml to 20 Liters. A laboratory
set up of 2000 square feet is equipped
with flash chromatography, dry reaction
set up, fume hood, solvent stills,
rotary evaporators, microwave reaction
equipment, TLC and detection systems.

The lab is equipped with
modern electronics and communication computers
with video conferencing with the world.
The facility has 10 Kw backup power sources
for uninterrupted operation of critical
experiments. We have finished three five-step
routes with US partners, using efficient
video conferencing and communications. The
lab under construction has benches for 15
chemists, 60 running ft of fume hood space,
and supporting office and storage space.
We have on call access to leased Agilent
HPLC, high field NMR, FT-IR, UV-VIS, CI
EI MS, and elemental analysis equipment,
and access to a microbiology laboratory.
We currently have two Ph.D. Scientists in
advisory role, with four M.Sc. Organic chemists,
engaged in advanced materials synthesis,
and a Ph.D. biochemist is engaged in enzymatic
reactions for nucleoside preparation (synthetic
biology). Two Ph.D. advisors with fifteen
years of experience and combined experience
of 30 publications and 70 patents are available
on call. Current projects include GSK-3
inhibitors, Phthalocyanines, Napthalocyanines,
Porphyrins, and Coumarins, and nucleoside
analogs for biochemical and electronics
applications.
We have successfully finished multi-step
syntheses using Bromination, Grignard reaction,
Suzuki coupling, Amidation, and Esterification
reactions. We have finished six target molecules
of five steps or more with 99.9+% HPLC purity,
and scaled to 250g, using our crystallization
expertise. Materials such as Porphyrins,
Cyanines and Naphthalocyanines, Coumarins
and Nucleoside analogs are special areas
of expertise. Some of the current project
include Curmin analogs for Alzeheimer's
disease, and GSK-3 inhibitor syntheses.
We have libraries of plant extracts based
on Aurvedic Treatments under scrutiny for
further study.
We will have room to take on an assignment
shortly since one of the projects is ready
for transfer getting scaled to 20L.
World class trained staff, laboratory, and
real life communication access at very reasonable
cost presents unique features and mutually
rewarding opportunities for collaboration
in discovery sciences.
We have on demand access to antibody, biochemistry,
toxicology and microbiology facilities,
due to our alliance with other labs, and
efforts underway to set up a healthcare
/ clinical trials center.
